With keen eyes and a curious mind, Giuseppe Santangeli explores the language of photography, dedicating himself to the performing arts, black and white, and the search for meaning. The work exhibited here is called ‘Venus recycled’ and is a very special image: "Plastic represents the greatest threat to the global marine ecosystem. This image generated with Artificial Intelligence tools is inspired by Botticelli's ‘Birth of Venus’, which idealises beauty and celebrates the birth of a new humanity. In the modern world, I imagine Venus being reborn from the waters, emerging from plastic and waste. A reflection on AI, a tool so powerful that it blurs the line between true and false. A hope, that the contamination of the seas caused by plastic is not irreversible". Thus, in the world of images and forms, Giuseppe, with his sensitive lens, explores the boundary between art and technology, between the real and the virtual, between truth and illusion. As Antoine de Saint-Exupéry said: "One sees well only with the heart, what is essential is invisible to the eyes", so Giuseppe, invites us to see beyond appearances, to be able to distinguish and grasp true beauty. A new Venus rising from the sea, as in the myth, indeed represents a second chance of existence for being and for the world. Between tradition and innovation, the only way to look to the future is to do so with hope and awareness that it is in our hands, where beauty - especially that of the earth - must be rediscovered, protected, preserved and loved. - Dantebus Edizioni
